Cerro Bravo is located in the municipality of Fredonia, 2 hours from Medellin. It is one of the most emblematic and symbolic mountains of Southwestern Antioquia, with thousands of landscapes to observe and trails to travel. It is said that millions of years ago it emerged as the mouth of a volcano near Cerro Tusa and is considered a site of worship and pilgrimage for the ancient Zenufaná tribes.
It was said that these tribes were located east of the Panzenú next to the Cauca River, they lived among the mountains building houses in the trees and fed on proteins such as fish and vegetables such as potatoes.
🌱This trekking has an altitude of 2.406 m.a.s.l. and with a level of difficulty quite considerable since it is catalogued level 3.5, in a scale of 1 to 5 where 5 is the maximum difficulty.

This magical adventure will take us about a day, where we will make a descent to one of the most spectacular mountains in Colombia.
We will leave from the city of Medellin at six in the morning at the commercial center "punto clave" to the municipality of Fredonia with an altitude of 2.406 m.a.s.l. and it will take us about two hours to get to this place to start the trekking together with a technical talk that we will need to start the ascent so at 9 am we will start climbing in this great adventure that will help us to challenge our mind and spirit. We will receive a snack from the organizers and at 7 pm we will be back in the city of Medellin.

The Municipality of Fredonia is located in the northwest part of the country, on the foothills of the central mountain range, on the right slope of the Cauca River. It has a very broken terrain, with the highest points being Cerro Bravo, Cerro Piedras, Las Frias, and Llano Grande.
